Winter Storm Could Disrupt Holiday Travel

A major winter storm could impact Christmas travel plans late this week across parts of the Plains and Upper Midwest. Heavy snow, ice, and rain will be possible from Wednesday to Friday as an area of low pressure swings out of the Rockies and tracks to the north and east.

As of Monday morning, no winter weather headlines have been issued because a few differences in models still remain. However, confidence is high that plowable snow will fall across parts of southern Minnesota, far northern Iowa, and northern Wisconsin.

After this storm clears out, much of the Upper Midwest is headed for the deep freeze! Highs on Christmas Day may not go above 0F for parts of North Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. BRR!

Stay tuned for details as we move through this busy travel week!
